Noboday is above the Law Rally
Donald Trump just crossed a red line, violating the independence of the investigation pursuing criminal charges in the Trump-Russia scandal and cover-up.
Trump putting himself above the law is a threat to our democracy, and we’ve got to get Congress to stop him.
We're mobilizing immediately to demand accountability, because Trump is not above the law.

The host has marked that this event is wheelchair accessible.
Take back our government! This is an event planned as a rapid response protest in the event that Donald Trump fires special counsel Robert Mueller or takes other action to put himself above the law. Firing Mueller is a red line Trump cannot be allowed to cross -- this abuse of power would trigger a constitutional crisis and nothing short of a national emergency. As citizens we need to stand up to this together, in solidarity. We will meet with our signs at Courthouse Park in front of the Courthouse Museum, and after a brief organizing rally, march in a loop down M and then 18th Street to the Merced Federal Building at 422 W. 18th Street, then up K Street to Main Street, and then back down M Street to the Courthouse Park for a rally. DATE LISTED IS A PLACEHOLDER: If Trump fires Mueller or takes another action to end or seriously threaten the Trump-Russia investigation prior to 2 P.M. local time, rallies will occur at 5 P.M. local time that day; if network actions are triggered after 2 P.M. local time, rallies will occur at noon local time the following day. Right now, the following are the red lines, which if crossed, could trigger the call for national actions, communicated by national partners to hosts: Firing Mueller; Pardons of key witnesses; Actions that would prevent the investigation from being conducted freely, such as replacing Mueller’s current supervisor, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, or repealing the regulations establishing the office. Once you sign up, be sure to invite friends to join us! Let our voices of protest be heard.
IMPORTANT TIMING NOTE:
This event has not been confirmed by the host in the last 24 hours. It is very likely that people will be showing up at this location at the time for which national protests have been called — 5 PM local time on Thursday, November 8. If you attend and don’t see an emcee, please gather peacefully and legally, hold signs, chant, and take pictures—and here is a link to more resources to help the event go well—including suggested chants and signs.
